Why Vidlix blocks phone numbers and emails in chat

If you've tried sending a phone number or email address in an Vidlix chat, you've probably seen it get rejected. This is intentional, and it's enforced on our servers, not just hidden in the app — so it can't be bypassed by a modified client.

The reasoning is straightforward: payments, project files, and dispute protection only work if the relationship stays on-platform. Once a conversation moves to WhatsApp or personal email, there's no record of what was agreed, no payment protection, and no ratings system watching the outcome.

We'd rather be upfront about this restriction than have people discover it as a surprise mid-conversation.
